Passed out on 16 Dec 67 as one of the four BUOS
Joined 6 ASSAM in Gacham under Col DB Mal.Served as IO.Then served under Col MS Behl in Ramgarh till Brig VS Bajwa took over and became his Adjt .
I was his adjt during IS duty in Burdwan district and 1971 war in East Pakistan.
Posted GSO3 to 112 mtn bde and served under Lt Gen Rajinder Singh and Brig Rai Singh MVC of Nathu La Pass war.
Brig NS Surrey got me posted to ARC for colour presentation 1974.Four months after that he was posted as bde commander 112 mtn bde.
Remained in center till 1978 and served under Col Malhi Brig Bajwa as center adjt.
Posted to 7 ASSAM in Tamalpur and remained with them .Served under Brig Shivpuri and Brig Sood in kamptee.
Posted as GSO 2 trg 10 Corp in Bhatinda.GSO1 got posted out after 2 months and officiated as gso1 trg for almost 13 months.Bhatinda tenure was from 1979 to1982 and in April 82 got posted back to 7 Assam at Naushera.
From here I was posted back to ARC as gso2 trg
I was approved for next rank and took over gso1 in the center.
Jun 1987 took over as co 5 assam in binnguri. I conducted the Silver jubilee of 5 assam.
Late 1988 posted to HQ IPKF in madras and on completion of this operation posted as gso1 in area hq at madras .
Nov 1990 put up my premature retirement papers. With the help of Lt Gen RN Singh who was in army he this was sanctioned in 45 days and I hung my boots on 11 mar 1991.
Moved to USA in June 1991 and I am here since then.
